At the trade fair, ex-combatants will be able to find options for home ownership and home enhancement, construction services, among other benefits to strengthen their life projects within the framework of the peace with legality policy with their families.
Around 100 ex-combatants who are committed to their reincorporation and reintegration process in Huila, will have access to an extensive program offered in the framework of 'Expofamilia', an important trade fair organized by the Family Compensation Fund of Huila, Comfamiliar, which will bring them the opportunity to access their own home, to the offer of construction services and to learn about different real estate offers.
More than 30 local and national companies will participate in this fair in Huila, which will also include informative workshops and financial education training, allowing the ex-combatant population and their families to find the best options to continue advancing in their transition to legality.
Andrés Felipe Stapper, Director General of the Agency for Reincorporation and Normalization (ARN), emphasized that the involvement of the ex-combatant population in these activities to promote commercial and housing services represents an important step to further strengthen the building of trust within the framework of institutional alliances.
“We celebrate this opportunity for the participation of the ex-combatant population and their families in this important commercial and service fair that guarantees several real estate alternatives, bringing them closer to their dreams and desires of owning their own house, highlighting also these actions of co-responsibility of the private sector and the institutions to move forward hand in hand with the ex-combatants in housing issues, and each of the goals of the Peace with Legality policy of President Iván Duque.", pointed out Stapper, who extended an invitation to the community and people in the reintegration and reincorporation processes to participate in 'Expofamilia'.
The 'Expofamilia' fair will be held at the Plaza Ferial of Club Los Lagos in Neiva on June 12 and 13, and will include the participation of construction companies with Social Approach Housing Agreement and NO Social Approach Housing Agreement housing projects, the Ministry of Housing, the National Savings Fund, banking institutions, the Comfamiliar Employment Exchange, as well as different companies from the industrial, commercial, automobile, gastronomic and other sectors.
Interesting facts:
- 513 ex-combatants in the process of reincorporation are assisted in the department of Huila.
- The ARN is currently assisting 211 people in the reintegration process.
- 676 people have successfully completed their reintegration process in Huila.
- Currently, 235 collective and individual productive projects have been approved in the department, with disbursements of nearly $2.6 billion, benefiting 332 ex-combatants.
- As of March 31, 2021, the ARN in Huila reports 487 people in the process of reincorporation linked to academic training, 511 enrolled in the health system and 475 in the pension system.
