  • The Agency for Reincorporation and Normalization (ARN), together with SENA, began training 21 people in the process of reincorporation in Norte de Santander in the management of livestock companies.

The Technical Program in Management of Livestock Companies aims to provide the livestock production sector and livestock companies with the possibility of incorporating those who are advancing in their reincorporation process with high labor and professional qualities that contribute to the economic, social and technological development of the territory.

This labor training will be classroom-based, while maintaining biosafety precautions, and seeks to enhance the capabilities, skills, and abilities of people in the process of reincorporation, thus facilitating their economic integration. This technician is intended to make progress in topics such as feeding technologies, animal health, reproductive management, milking, insemination, administration, and marketing.

“For us as institution we are very excited about this type of process, we hope that all apprentices complete this technical program, that they become integral people, with tools to face the projects in a visionary and entrepreneurial way, and thus have a competitive livestock raising", said Edgar Sandoval, zootechnician, AGROSENA instructor.

This space will generate knowledge, skills, and abilities in cattle management to face challenges in the productive sector and in the livestock enterprise.  "This training is very important for us, we learn new things for our development and our life, we hope to put into practice everything we have learned in our projects," said Edinson Ramirez, a person in the process of reincorporation

In the former Territorial Training and Reincorporation Area (ETCR) Caño Indio, a calling to work around livestock and its processes has been identified. "In the framework of a session of the Territorial Council for Reincorporation, it led to the two institutions working hand in hand, to lead this technical training that seeks to give continuity to the economic sustainability strategies in the framework of the 'Peace with Legality' policy of the government of President Iván Duque," said Andrés Stapper Segrera, Director General of the Agency for Reincorporation and Normalization (ARN).

The labor training processes carried out in Norte de Santander strengthen the knowledge and development of skills of people in the process of reincorporation, allowing them to work in the labor market or have their own business.

The Catatumbo region is an area with potential in livestock farming for beef, milk, and dual purpose; its strengthening and socioeconomic growth depend to a large extent on qualified and skilled human resources. Strengthening the capacities of people in the process of reincorporation has a positive impact on productivity, competitiveness, equity, and the country's development.
