The “Itinerant Teacher” program reaches the utmost remote regions

Jose Antonio Ruger is proud to bring his lessons to the utmost remote places such as La Chica township, in Tierra Alta, Montería. Thanks to the agreement between ARN and the National Open and Distance University (UNAD), the flexible education model ‘Itinerant Teacher’ ’benefits 1,346 ex-combatants living in areas with difficult access. Diomedes Valle, a former member of the Farc-Ep and a student, is one of them; he appreciates this opportunity to educate himself and learn what he couldn't when he was little.

Hugo Roberto García (45) is a businessman from Urabá Antioqueño who established 'Grupo 4'  thanks to his reintegration process. His company focuses on "restoring hearts". As an act of reconciliation, this entrepreneur designed, manufactured and donated a special wheelchair for a young girl with reduced mobility.

Spanish government to allocate € 500,000 to strengthen ex-combatants’ coffee project in Cauca

The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) will €500,000 thanks to the management of the National Government, as part of a strategy to position coffee production projects in the department of Cauca led by people in the process of reincorporation.

‘Mambrú’ Strategy returned to the territory to provide accompaniment to 1,300 girls, boys and youngsters

1,300 girls, boys and youngsters from 27 municipalities in Colombia participate in ‘Mambrú’, the ARN initiative that creates alternatives for the use of free time in the face of risk factors in territories affected by violence. In the midst of the health emergency, a distance training process will be developed to teach them about their rights, duties, self-care, leadership and healthy coexistence.
