The ARN, alongside the El Tarra Mayor's Office in Norte de Santander, inaugurated the first Peace Office in Catatumbo, to promote human rights and reconciliation processes, within the framework of the policy of “Peace with Legality”.

“There are approximately 80 people in reincorporation alongside their families, who will benefit from the efforts and support of this Peace Office. We also hired a person in the process of reincorporation to establish faster and more effective communication channels with the ex-combatant population and the community” – highlighted Andrés Felipe Stapper, ARN Director General.

“Peace comes with facts, and President Iván Duque’s Peace with Legality policy is a clear mandate when it comes to granting benefits. In terms of education, the Agency has flexible educational models with the National Open and Distance University - UNAD, and educational institutions that have joined the construction of peace hand in hand with the people in the transition towards legality”, said Andrés Felipe Stapper Segrera, ARN director.

The Agency for Reincorporation and Normalization (ARN) in Arauca, leads the Soy Valiente – “I am brave” territorial community initiative. This project seeks to strengthen the protective environments of children, adolescents and young people of approximately 100 families through social diagnosis activities, training workshops and recreational activities in which ex-combatants and communities also participate.
